How long does an audit take?

Most small sites finish in a minute or two. Larger sites take longer — you set a page limit, and you can leave the page while it runs. The audit will be waiting in your dashboard.

Will the crawl slow my website down?

No. The crawler makes only a few requests at a time and respects robots.txt by default, so it is gentle on your server.

How is the score worked out?

Each finding costs points according to its type (issue, warning or opportunity), its priority, and the share of your site it affects. A clean site scores close to 100.

Can I use it alongside Screaming Frog?

Yes. Exports use the same Issues Overview columns, and you can import an Issues Overview CSV from the SEO Spider to score it and keep it with your other audits.

Does it run JavaScript?

No — it reads the HTML your server sends, which is what search engines see first. Pages whose links only appear after JavaScript runs are flagged so you know to check them.
